There is a large shortfall in supply of gold production and it will be carrying forward for the next 10 years. We need exploration. We need prospecting. We need money to flow into this sector so that we can meet this demand. Countries like Germany, Russia and China have been dramatically increasing their gold supplies. China is the world’s largest supplier of gold and it dropped by 9% and does not export it. They keep all the gold. It raises questions why these countries are so interested in mining for gold and repurchasing it if gold has no value. When at VRIC there was quite a lot of noise about the big producer coming home, or back to North America looking for production. That means any company that has been in the exploration or prospect generating space will be getting lots of attention. As for retail investors it is a good time for you to do the same, and to consider buying physical gold just like many of these central banks in lieu of currency.
